Blostem First Appears at Global Fintech Fest 2023
Blostem makes its debut on the national fintech stage, presenting its vision for unified banking infrastructure to industry leaders.
Blostem's Debut at GFF 2023
In June 2023, Blostem made its first appearance at the Global Fintech Fest in Mumbai — India's premier gathering of fintech leaders, banks, regulators, and investors.
For a young startup founded just 18 months earlier, this was a pivotal moment to present our vision for unified banking infrastructure to the industry.
Our Pitch
The message was simple but bold: India needs banking product rails the same way it needed payment rails.
We presented:
- The fragmentation problem in banking product distribution
- How a single API layer could connect fintech platforms to multiple banks
- Our early traction with Fixed Deposit distribution
- The roadmap for expanding into additional banking products
The Response
The reception exceeded our expectations:
- Banks were intrigued: Several banks expressed interest in becoming distribution partners
- Fintech platforms saw the value: Multiple platforms asked about integration timelines
- Investors took notice: GFF 2023 directly contributed to conversations that led to our seed round
Lessons from Our First Big Event
GFF 2023 taught us several valuable lessons:
- The market understood the problem immediately — no one needed convincing that banking integrations were painful
- The demand for a unified infrastructure layer was stronger than we anticipated
- Building credibility with banks required demonstrating production-grade reliability
- The fintech ecosystem was eager for solutions that reduced time-to-market
Setting the Foundation
Our appearance at GFF 2023 planted the seeds for everything that followed — bank partnerships, fintech integrations, and investor interest. It was the moment Blostem went from an idea to a recognised player in India's fintech infrastructure landscape.
